kevinblalock @anthony Ubuntu is a great OS to run a web server on. It is based on Debian which in itself has been a proven stable OS for many many years. The main difference is that Ubuntu caters to being easier to use to those whom are not hardcore linux guru's, etc. 2009-03-19 18:41:58 UTC

iqwerty @anthony Ubuntu will be a great choice, I run all my sites on it and it's extraordinary stable! Of course you can't optimize it as much as Gentoo, but it's way more stable and easier to keep running and up to date. How to get a good server?
